Gain important skills for life, school, and work through the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s free Adult Learning Academy. Free online courses taught by certified teachers are available Monday through Thursday from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. to adults 18 and up who live in Miami-Dade County.

The available courses are:
- Spanish as a Second Language (10 weeks)
- English as a Second Language – ESOL for Beginners (10 weeks)
- Adult Basic Education:
- Foundational Reading (10 weeks)
- Foundational Math (10 weeks)
- Test Preparation – SAT (4 weeks)

To become an adult learner, you must:
- Have a working email address
- Have access to the Internet and a computer with video and audio
- Register online
- Commit to attend all classes in the course

Registration is required for participation. Registration will be for the full 10-week or 4-week course. All sessions will be recorded.
