Should I Visit the ER or an Urgent Care Center?

UHealth Jackson Children's Care Summer to School Virtual Series

July 20, 2020

Attention parents!

Broken arm, bad burn, high fever — if you are like most parents and are confused about when to go to the ER vs an Urgent Care Center, join us for our upcoming Summer To School Virtual Series, a biweekly virtual initiative hosted by UHealth Jackson Children’s Care and Miami Moms Blog. Get expert advice on emergency medicine!

This seminar series brings together educational information and family‑friendly resources to guide parents and kids through summer and on their way to the 2020–2021 School Year.

Join our discussion on Thursday, July 23 at 8 p.m. as we talk openly about safety including when to take your child to urgent care or the emergency room when it comes to general concerns and COVID‑19.

Moderated by Cierra Bragan from Miami Moms Blog, our speaker is Dr. E. Robert Schwartz, Chief of Service and Family Medicine at Jackson Health System and UHealth‑University of Miami Health System and Professor and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health for the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.
