‘Round-Up’ Your Order Total in Support of Ronald McDonald House

Donate the Extra Change to Help Keep Families Together

July 14, 2020

Due to the decrease of donations and the cancellation of fundraising events caused by COVID-19, Ronald McDonald House Charitiesâ (RMHC) South Florida is reminding the public that they can do their part in helping the non-profit keep families together by participating in its ‘Round-Up’ fundraiser—where McDonald’s guests Round-Up their order total to the nearest dollar and donate the change to RMHC.

Participating in the Round-Up campaign is simple. McDonald’s guests simply need to ask a crew member to ‘Round-Up’ their total to the nearest dollar when placing an order with a credit/debit card at the counter or in the drive-through. If a guest is paying with cash, they can also ask the crew to ‘Round-Up’ to the next dollar before paying, or they can drop their spare change in any of the RMHC donation boxes located inside the lobby, at the register or below the drive-through window.

Another way to support RMHC when visiting McDonald's, is by making a $1, $3 or $5 donation from July 6 - August 16. Guests can ask the crew member taking their order to add their chosen donation amount to their total.

This year more than ever, by ‘rounding-up’ and/or making a donation of $1, $3 or $5 at their local McDonald’s, guests will leave with more than just a meal; they’ll leave knowing they helped provide hope, care, comfort and a home to families living their worst nightmare—caring for a sick child—, made even more difficult by the pandemic.
